FEMME FRIDAY // Sophie Jaffe

With boundless energy and an infectious entrepreneurial spirit that seems to be limitless, Sophie Jaffe defines the mom whose making it happen. She makes motherhood look like a breeze with raising two gorgeous children, running her superfood minded business "Philosophie", a yoga practice, the occasional photo shoot, and any number of other things throughout the day. The girl literally makes it happen in record time, and seems to be able to bounce around LA without pause. I actually don't see how she does it.

I met Sophie very early on in my LA adventures, and what I was most impressed by was her ability to be completely in the moment. As someone who is an IG star of sorts, I'm amazed every time I hang out with her that there never seems to be a phone out or being checked. She has the ability to compartmentalize and be totally present and kind. She's also really funny!

Sophie radiates a positive energy into the world, and looks amazing while doing it.

Thank you Sophie for the beauty you bring!

One thing the internet doesn't know about you?
I have a lazy left eye that acts up when I'm sleepy. It's hard to take headshots or other photos where I have to focus on a single point and keep my eyes both still ;) sometimes hard to drive at night, too.

The can't live without it daily ritual that keeps you inspried?
5-10 min of kundalini or popping upside down. Also, walking my dog in the morning. I get so many amazing ideas while I take in the start of the day!

What is in your desert island cosmetic bag, and how do you use it?
Nucifera / coconut oil for ALL THE THINGS. Philosophie superfoods (DUH) so I could use it topically and internally. Vibrator.

And since we are on an island... what's your favorite way to use coconut?
Coconut meat in a pudding or ice cream is absolutely insane. I have a big sweet tooth so it allows the dessert to feel deeply satisfying without the food hangover.

What impression do you want to leave?
To love + allow love full heartedly. That striving to be perfect is not interesting. Vulnerability equals beauty.
