THE MIST + SUMMER // Summer lovers

The Mist is popular this time of year – and for good reason. Our base blend of soothing aloe, rose water and witch hazel is extra hydrating and inflammation reducing, while colloidal silver helps to reduce bacteria and may even help fight against acne and other skin irritations.

The signature scent of The Mist has been a fan favorite since its inception. Our essential oil blend of peppermint, lavender, grapefruit, palo santo, frankincense, patchouli, sandalwood and carrot seed is both uplifting and grounding at once. The scent can actually vary slightly depending on the season. In warmer climates, many people tend to notice the uplifting qualities of the peppermint and grapefruit more while the harmonizing base note of sandalwood works with your natural fragrance.

Whatever time of year it is The Mist is a great compliment, but here are some of our favorite ways to use it in the summer!

Cold Chillin
Our favorite place to keep the Mist this time of year is in the refrigerator. There is nothing more uplifting than a cool spritz of The Mist to help you cool off anytime of the day - even when you're doing absolutely nothing.

Sunbathing
While The Mist doesn't perform as any kind of SPF, it does naturally reduce inflammation and helps your skin stay hydrated. While we certainly recommend protecting your skin using natural SPF and avoiding overexposure to the sun – we also believe that keeping your skin cool and hydrated is a great way to take care while you're sunbathing this summer.

Bug Spray
Whether your hiking, or just hanging out in the back yard, The Mist works wonders as a light and natural bug repellent. Each essential oil in our blend has its own unique elements to help act as a bite deterrent. While we don't recommend relying on it – especially if you are in a uniquely mosquito populated area – it can help with your average summer days outdoors.

Sweaty Hair
Hair or no hair your head gets sweatier in the summer, and that scent can get locked in. I have long hair, and constantly use The Mist to refresh my hair in between washes. My husband has a beard and a shaved head and also uses it to stay fresh. The scent is pleasant and adaptable and much less overpowering than a perfume or typical fragrance.

Mask and Atmospheric Refresher
The summer of 2020 has been a unique one, and as we navigate the new world we are living in, germs are on the top of our minds. If you're out and about, keeping yourself refreshed with some hand sanitizer (we also employ The Mist) is a must. We also use it to refresh our face masks. While we certainly make no official claims, we do feel that atomizing your mask with cleansing ingredients and essential oils certainly couldn't hurt. Plus it makes everything smell a whole lot better!

Be well and stay safe!
